Warning: Scammers posing as IRSA to deceive immigrants

Posted: 24/02/2025 | Updated: 24/02/2025

We want to alert all immigrants and individuals seeking to come to Canada about a potentially growing scam. Fraudsters are impersonating IRSA to trick people into sending money. They falsely claim that payment is required to expedite immigration processes.

Please remember: Neither IRSA nor any Canadian authorities will ever ask for money to speed up your immigration application.

If you receive any such requests, do not send money and report it immediately. Protect yourself from fraud by verifying information through official channels.
