IRSA COVID-19 update

IRSA offices to remain closed to the public until 31 January 2022

To keep our staff and clients safe, we are following the latest recommendations from PEI Public Health.

IRSA offices in Charlottetown and Summerside will remain closed to the public and staff will be working from home until 31 January 2022. If you need to get in touch with our staff, please contact us.

The Office of the Chief Public Health Officer has announced enhanced public health measures that will remain in place at least until Monday, 31 January 2022. The following measures are in place:

  • Personal gatherings are limited to a single household plus up to two other support people, where needed. People who live alone can join another household. Single households may participate in outdoor activities such as snowshoeing, skiing, skating and hiking.
  • Organized gatherings are not permitted.
  • Funeral and wedding ceremonies are permitted with up to ten people plus the officiant.
  • Gyms, group fitness classes and all indoor recreational facilities will be closed.
  • In-room dining and services at eating establishments or licensed premises will be closed.
  • Public and private schools will be closed to in-class learning.

In addition, further mandates on masks include:

  • Masks should be worn as much as possible to reduce risk to yourself and others.
  • Masks are required in indoor public places.
  • Wear a medical-grade or three-layer mask and make sure it fits well, covering both nose and mouth.
  • Wear a mask outdoors if you are within 6 feet of people you don't know.
  • Masks are required in areas of workplaces where physical distance cannot be achieved (unless there are occupational health and safety concerns).
